Michigan borders lakes Michigan, Superior, Huron, & Erie
Lake Superior, Lake Eerie, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron.

Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, and Lake Michigan.

Lake Michigan and Lake Huron are the only ones that border it.
Almost half of Michigan is comprised of water and, except for Alaska, Michigan has more shoreline than any other state, fronting four of the Great Lakes: Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie.

Well, there are only five Great Lakes (unless you're one of those people who thinks Lake Champlain qualifies as a Great Lake). Lake Ontario does not touch the state of Michigan, so that leaves the other four: Superior, Michigan, Huron and Erie.

Go ahead! Look it up in an atlas or a map book.

Speaking of Lake Champlain, there are many people who think Georgian Bay qualifies as a Great Lake, and some even who think Lake Nipigon should be a Great Lake. I, however, will stick with the original five.

The four lakes that touch the state of Michigan are all lakes that are adjoined together as the Great Lakes. They are Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie. The only Great Lake that does not touch the state of Michigan is Lake Ontario.
