No. The halfshafts in an ea81's (80-84) and ea82's are larger. If your XT is turbo you must use an axle from another turbo subaru between 85-89 so xt (turbo), gl10(turbo) and RX. dosent matter from which because all the turbo ea82's are almost identical. You can use 5-30w in cold climates or 10-40 for just about everyplace else.
