No. The halfshafts in an ea81's (80-84) and ea82's are larger. If your XT is turbo you must use an axle from another turbo Subaru between 85-89 so xt (turbo), gl10(turbo) and RX. dosent matter from which because all the turbo ea82's are almost identical. However, if your XT is non turbo, it will take any axle from 85-89 gl,dl,gl10(non turbo) and brat.
