This is a very hard answer because generally hamsters aresolitary animals. When you put two females together they tend to be aggressive to one another. So they fight for attention. When you put two males together they fight for dominance and property. When you put a male and a female together you get baby hamsters. I know you are probably thinking well i see them in pet stores together, but the truth is they love to be together when they are babies then they turn into independent animals. But things may change with each hamsters personality.

∙ 14y agoDefinitely! if you have a male and a female together they can reproduce very quickly!! if you have 1 female and 2 or more males the males will almost undoubtedly fight over the female - the bottom line is that they can cause pigs injuries and it is just plain easier to have them in separate hutches.
