As you know, samllpocks are an early stage of the the chicken pocks. But when someone first got it a long time ago, nobody knew what was happening. They did not have a cure or anything like we do today. Many suffered and died from the smallpox, and they did not know what to do.

Well, back in the day at least 1 person would suffer from smallpox each day. In the country it would just start from a flea. When the flea lands onto an animal it bites the animal so then the animal will have a disease (Normally its smallpox) then a human/animal will come by and also get the disease. By then the disease would have spread. That is how smallpox/diseases spread.
