Ralph Nader's Green party won over 97000 votes in Florida which was much greater than the 537 vote difference between Bush and Gore in that state and Florida's 25 electoral votes were enough to tip the election to Bush.Of course one can not say how these people might have voted if Nader was not on the ballot. There were several other minor parties on the ballot. People who voted for Nader knew they were making a protest vote and did not like either of the major party candidates.

Television programming in the 1950s reflected the conservative life style of the period. All the nuclear families had a mother, father and children all living together. In most cases, the women in sitcoms did not work, or in the case of 'I Love Lucy,' were so incompetent they couldn't work. Women were portrayed in passive, supportive roles, and father always knew best. Today's programming, like the fifties, reflects the social reality of today. Many shows reflect single parents, women who work important jobs, and families who are flawed, but relatable.
Yes and no. The 5-4 US Supreme Court ruling in Bush v. Gore, 531 US 98 (2000) didn't directly award the Presidential Election to George W. Bush, but the Court's decision to stop the manual ballot recount in Florida had that effect, and the justices knew it would have that effect because Bush was leading Gore in the State's popular election by a mere 537 votes when the case was appealed. The Supreme Court held a Florida Supreme Court recount of 70,000 disputed ballots violated the constitutional rights of Florida voters under the Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection Clause because the counting method was arbitrary and inconsistent. When the US Supreme Court reversed the Florida Supreme Court, Bush was awarded Florida's 25 Electoral votes, giving him a total of 271 Electoral votes to Gore's 266, barely enough to put Bush in the White House. For more information, see Related Questions, below.
Women through the centuries have been treated as second class citizens. Traditionally due to gender roles, women have been the ones who stayed at home and took care of the house and children. Since women tended to stay at home, they were less likely to go to meetings. As a result, women traditionally did not vote, as they were not present. As the modern day came about, women demanded a more active role in the forming of a society. However, due to traditions, eg from the bible, men discriminated against women. Some men condescendingly considered women unable to make the correct decisions in order to vote. Women have become more integrated into all parts of society, particularly during war-time. As a result women were eventually given the right to vote in most places in the world.

using my common sense I'm pretty sure he created it because he knew it was going to make a huge affect on beautician's and many American women. he also knew many women and stylist's would have great need in the product, because he knew that, from experience, women had to wait for their hair to dry.
