The central forces opposed the treaty. That was because the terms agreed in the treaty aimed at punishing them as it was believed that the central group was the causer of the war. So the conditions imposed were harsh; that's why the group opposed.
Germans bitterly opposed the treaty because it took away their colonies and placed all the blame for the war on them.Colonial peoples in Africa and Asia were also angry as the treaty did not make them independent.
