D3 will do for almost all driving conditions.D2 and D1 would be for low speed driving when you do not want the trans to shift gears.
no... why would you think that?
Your gears is stripped and you need a new one or that one rebuilt!!
Air or fluid pressure... If you put cylinders in the shafts and connect them through pipes or tubes, then you can transfer pneumatic or hydraulic pressure form one to the other. As one cylinder is lowered in one shaft, it will displace the fluid (air being a fluid) and because that fluid would have no escape, it would force the cylinder in the other shaft to rise.
You need to replace your clutch.
Those two are not geared to production. The engine exploded because the transmission was not geared properly.
it comes stock with 2.73 gears but if you raise them up to 3.73 gears would be alot funner...3.55 good for daily driving 3.73 good for steet/drag and 4.10 good for drag
Because it is. The transmission of an automatic does for you what you have to do if driving a stick. it does that whole clutch in shift for you, supposedly making it more efficient in usage of gas.
Shafts & the members of trusses....
You are pushing against the rotation of the transmission when going into the upper gears. When you pull with it in the lower gears, then it is smooth and jumps into place. Or that's what i would think.
It has a chain and gears. NO BELT. There would be no reason to fool with the timing chain and gears on that year engine. The chain and gears would out last the engine.
I would think that the metal shafts would be preferred because professional dart teams use them but perhaps plastic would be best depending upon the end purpose .
