I have to assume you are talking about an automatic. But in either type of tranny the fluid will over heat foam up and expand, causing pressure in the trans case which could blow out some of the oil seals. this would cause a major oil leak and reduced life expectancy of the tranny.
Oil level is overfull.
Drop the pan and drain some , or undo one of the lines to rad and run it at idle till you lose about a litre.
turkey baister and a hose
Not exactly sure what the issue is.You need to be MORE specific due to it is not specified on your transmission if it is manual or automatic. And you state overfull oil are you commenting on the tranmission fluid wether it is for the manual or automatic or off in left field talking about engine oil?Resubmit a question with like 89 Mazda b2200 5speed has low trans fluid and overfilled what is causing (your reason).Another opinionI can agree with the contributor above as to the specifics of the question. However, I believe there is enough information to determine what is being asked. It is likely that the transmission in question is an automatic since a manual transmission would be difficult to determine that it is low without sticking a finger into the filler hole. Next, the overfull condition has to do with the crankcase: there is no way a manual transmission can be overfilled, and it was mentioned that the transmission was low on fluid. The answer to the problem is more likely that someone poured transmission fluid into the engine oil filler by mistake, thinking it was the correct place to add automatic transmission fluid.
No, foaming is an indication that there is contamination or the fluid is overfull.
There is no such thing as "transmission oil" there is only transmission fluid, but but over filling the reservoir could cause serious damage to your transmission..
It could. When overfull the fluid can aerate, which will cause slipping and a loss of lubrication.
Fluid is overfull, or there is water in the fluid.
Vehicle will operate as if under heavy load.
Too much oil was added.Too much oil was added.
If it is a 2-stroke engine, the oil/gas mixture has too much oil. If it is a 4-stroke engine, the oil sump is overfull.
It is possible that the transmission is overfull and the pressure in the unit is forcing out the excess. Also, it is possible that the transmission is overheating and boiling the the fluid.
