(the navy had 2,008 deaths and 710 wounded, the marines had 109 deaths and 69 wounded, the army had 218 deaths and 364 wounded. 68 civilian deaths and 35 wounded) the Japanese bombed Arizona... one of the 8 battle ships that the US had. the 8 battle ships were the Arizona, Nevada, California, Tennessee, Maryland, and the west Virginia. i belive the battle ships were named after some of the us states for US pride.
