i have no idea, while im looking and cant find any acts passed or any sort of meetings. All i find is the general slavery problem.

While slavery was part of the Civil War, it did not cause the war. The North and the South were incredibly different. The North was more the suburb where everyone had a start at education and loved the government. The South was the rural area that treasured the raw hard labor and didn't think the government always did what was right for the general population. In the North, because they didn't have to worry about how much manual labor was needed to make a substantial income, had a bit of an issue with slavery. Some radicals became abolitionists! These two different cultures naturally clashed a little and with voting the South, because of its lesser population, usually got the short end of the stick when it came right down to the needs. The South was mad and the North didn't understand and got mad. The South gave threats about secession. When Abraham Lincoln was elected as president, the South was very unhappy because they didn't want him, they wanted their own representative. They carried out their threat of secession. The Civil War started to keep the Union intact. Slavery was brought in to weaken the South and cause the European country's to steer clear because they were a little touchy on human slavery and wouldn't be involved.
