No. Limewire (the free version) without you noticing will fill your computer with all sorts of files that are viruses. Limewire PRO now comes with an anti-virus...
Limewire is a P2P (peer-to-peer) software program--also called information sharing programs. When you downlowd a song with the Limewire program on your computer, you're actually downloading it directly from the personal computer/s of one or more persons who have the song stored in their Limewire shared folder/s. Visit the following link for more information on P2P programs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P2p ANSWER You can go to "SEARCH" click FILES AND FOLDERS type in lime wire and search. It will show you where all your Lime Wire songs are stored
When you start limewire you need to search for files that are "All Types" then put in the song # like a song from "The devil wears prada" like Danger: Wildman Then you would type in "06 Danger: Wildman" then wait and if you don't find any m4a files then right click on the search tab and click on get more results :)
No, not unless you break copyright laws, or download child pornography. It is probably best not to use it, because files can be mis labeled resulting in you downloading items you dont want. But the Limewire software itself is perfectly legal, and so is all of Limewire's premium content.
FIRST YOU MUST DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE ON YOUR COMPUTER THEN DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DOWNLOAD WEATHER ITS MUSIC OR MOVIES YOU CHOOSE THE CATAGORY AND THEN HIT THE SEARCG BUTTON. LIMEWIRE WILL PULL UP ALL MATCHES OR CLOSE MATCHES. ONCE YOU FOUND WHAT YOU WANT YOU HIGHLIGHT THAT ONE AND PRSS THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON. THE SONG OR MOVIE WILL THEN APPEAR ON THE BOTTOM OF LIMEWIRE AND SHOW YOU THE PROGRESS OF THE DOWNLOAD. ONCE IT IS DOWNLOADED IT WILL BE IN YOUR LIBRARY AND IN YOUR SHARED MUSIC FOLDER.
LimeWire is a file sharing network, Shhhhhhh! It doesnt have "limewire files" those files were created with other programs on another persons computer. When you download a file make sure you know exactly what you are going to get, or your PC will end up in the hospital. To answer your question... yes, but not all "limewire files" are what they are labeled as.
Well yes you are safe from the law, but your not exactly. Unless you remove all downloaded content from limewire then technically you are still breaking the law by having illegal copies of media. Also if you have imported and music or files from limewire into another program, I suggest you get rid of these files as a little box will appear from limewire saying that some files are corrupt, although they are not, because limewire is not there. If these files are not deleted then limewire will corrupt your whole system as I found out last year. I ended up having to re-format. The safest thign to do is remove limewire and all file downloaded by it, no matter what program they're in.
All you have to do is add the files from your Shared folder or wherever you originally downloaded your songs from.
FrostWire and LimeWire store music in your documents folder, or whatever folder you specify. Uninstalling / deleting them does not remove the files you downloaded.
By default, all music downloaded using LimeWire should have been transferred into a playlist labeled 'LimeWire' in your iTunes library. Simply drag and drop this playlist into a folder on your hard-drive.
Using Limewire is not illegal. Limewire is a P2P file sharing utility. If you share files which are copyrighted and without a licence or permission then that is illegal.
I have got all the song of twilight soundtrack by limewire.
You probably do not have the correct codecs to play the file. A simple and pain-free solution is to download and install VLC, a free media player that can play almost all media files.

First, download Limwire. Second, Get the songs, movies, etc. You want to download, Then you should see ___'s Limewire. Or ___'s limewire playlist. Something to that nature. Then you click file, sync ___'s ipod/iphone. Then you should see at the top of ur itunes tab bar, the name of the songs or movies or etc. You downloaded. After sync completion, you should have all downloaded files on your ipod/iphone. HOPE THIS HELPS! :D
The only things you need are Limewire itself and the Java Runtime Environment. - (You shouldn't be using Limewire, it has all sorts of viruses and spying devices, and if you download it it can hack into your files etc.)
As of my last knowledge, LimeWire is a file-sharing platform that was shut down due to copyright infringement issues. LimeWire accounts were not typically created or required for its use. If you are looking to stop using LimeWire, simply uninstall the software from your device and delete any downloaded files. It's also recommended to run a malware scan on your device after removing LimeWire to ensure no harmful software was downloaded along with it.
