During the "Behind the Scenes" part of World War II, the majority of the Jewish population in Europe's rights were slowly restricted to a point where they had none. Many were sent to concentration camps, where thousands of Jews and even non-Jews died. Those who survived suffered terrible losses as well, or died before or after release.
Jews were seen as the scapegoats of society, whenever anything bad happened people blamed it on the Jews.
No. Unfortunately, it actually happened.
They were severly punished or killed.
they were punished or were killed. none who helped the Jews were just left alone.

It is not an easy question to answer without discriminating against the Jews. Jews were generally wealthy people in society. And as you know, wealthy people normally have a big influence on the leaders in the community because leaders and governments need sponsors. So if something happened and the people was looking at who they could blame, they would look at the wealthy first. And on top of that, is also the relationship isues that Jews can have with non-jews.
