Helium balloons deflate faster because the molecules are smaller and can seep through the smallest of holes. ... Except that this isn't what happens. Try inflating some latex balloons with CO2 (use a chemical reaction with baking soda to generate it) and compare them to helium balloons. It's amazing to see how quickly the CO2 balloons shrivel up.
