It's NOT unusual for parents to have opposite views on parenting, but balance is the best way. Unfortunately, many parents don't understand that, because their own parents didn't teach them that growing up.

∙ 13y agoIt can be worse than being too lenient. It's feels like you have pent-up energy waiting to explode because you always have to ask permission like a 2-year-old. When that happens, you can break loose and even act like a wild animal.

If your parents are "too strict", I wouldn't recommend you telling them they are.. Even the nicest of ways could be offensive to them. But of course - only you know your parents. Tell them as nice as possible (if you have too). Good luck!
