If the police and the prosecuting attorney can't prove you are guilty the case gets thrown out, innocent until proven guilty. As far as your written statement, you would have to explain some reason why you would lie (you were coerced by the police, drunk, someone paid you)
You can be arrested for obstruction
That person is guilty of murder
No one can be compelled to give a statement to the police. If the police do obtain a statement from someone, they are free to use it as they please.
Yes. Happens all the time. The fact of a person's intoxication may or may not weigh on the value of the statement taken.
what if you made a false police report and it was oral not written down?
If you have been arrested by the police because they think you have committed a crime, the next thing that happens is that you are brought to court for trial. When you come into court the charges against you are read out and you are given the opportunity to say that either you did not do the things you are accused of (a plea of not guilty) or that you agree that you did what you are accused of (a plea of guilty). If you plead guilty then there is no trial and the court will decide the punishment you deserve immediately. If you plead not guilt, a trial will be held and a jury will be appointed to hear both sides of the argument and decide if they think you are or are not guilty. If they decide you are guilty you will be punished.
The police will arrest you. Then there is a criminal justice procedure by which you will be charged with a crime and put on trial, and then either found guilty or innocent, with certain penalties being imposed if you are found guilty.
There were a lot of holes in the suspect's original statement. The bank statement says we are in debt.

As a rule, you're not permitted to withdraw an official statement once it has been recorded. You could recant the statement in court, but the prosecutor is probably going to ask if you were untruthful at the time you made the statement. That could invite criminal liability, as it's usually a criminal offense to make a false report to the police.
No. There is very little the police can legally force you to do. Ideally however you shouldn't get involved with police because of illegal activities. They generally are pretty nice if you aren't breaking the law (from my own personal experiences).
Yes. Because in a police judgment if you are not guilty you are free to go, but if you are guilty you end up in prison, but after you die and you're in God's judgment if your name is written in the book of life you're in heaven, and if your name is nit written in the book of life then when you wail or mourn God will fade away, like you can't hear him on earth, and demons will show up and throw you in hell.
