Well, I actually accidentally ate some expired bacon today. Depends on how old it is. This bacon was three months because nobody in family thinks to rotate the fridge when I'm at college. Pretty sure I have a mild case of food poisoning: stomach hurts a lot, and have a mean case of the runs. Would not recommend you attempt.

∙ 11y agoMost storebought bacon is cured and smoked, read the package and if it says cured or smoked on it, it is safe to eat, because technically it has been cooked properly and isn't actually raw.

actually today I just made cookies for my family and afterward everyone felt sick to their stomach and turns out the shortening I used was totally rancid it makes the cookie dough look all dark and smells bad. The rancid food....hmmm.....i only had one cookie and I feel fine but my family on the other hand had three or four and they feel a little sick to their stomach but I think its just you can eat rancid food depending on what it is that's gone rancid. But I think if you eat too much then its not too safe.
