AnswerAmoxicillin does not have to be refrigerated, but refrigeration improves the taste. Leaving it out on the counter for a day makes no difference. However, if your bottle says "amoxicillin/clavulanate" which is the generic name for Augmentin, it is extremely important that you refrigerate. Take a look at your bottle - if you have amoxicillin/clavulanate or augmentin, you'll need to call the doctor to get a new script.
In general, most medications that have been left out of refrigeration will be fine to use if kept cold again within 24 hours; this assumes it was kept at room temperature and not near a heat source,
I read on the Veterinary Partner site that "The oral suspension should be refrigerated, though if it is mistakenly left out of the refrigerator for one day, this is not a problem. The oral suspension should be discarded after 10 days." check more info here.
I would not risk using it.
You should leave it for 24 hours before turning back on.

It is best to keep a refrigerator vertically upright at all times. If you need to tip it on its side or back in order to move it, the best thing to do is to put it in place upright, then wait 24 hours before plugging it in.
A working refrigerator with the doors closed can keep food cold just a couple hours. You would then need to plug the unit back in.
A refrigerator makes use of electrical energy to run a heat pump that helps remove the warm air from within and sends it to the back of the appliance.
I am currently taking amoxicillin for a dental absess - I have exactly the same symtoms; lower back ache. I spoke to my pharmacist about it today and they have told me to see my doctor and stop taking it if the pain becomes unbearable.

The general rule of thumb is 2 hours for all cold foods that are at room temperature. In other words, if a food that is suppose to be kept cold (refrigerator or freezer) is at room temperature it should be back in the refrigerator/freezer within 2 hours. As long as you want. When it will start tasting bad is different for all kinds of puddings. Its not going to kill you, so however much flavor degradation you want is up to you.
