Yeast infections aren't to good to have, if you don't take care of it with antibiotics then it will still be there in some way, like, I've had one and i took my antibiotics until the pain went away then I stopped, well since I did this the pain sometimes comes and goes. It CAN go into your kidneys causing you to have a kidney infection or develope kidney stones. You really need to take care of it. == == Yeast infections can cause a whole host of health problems including a weakened immune system - which can leave you susceptible to a lot of different health problems. Left untreated, it can cause systemic yeast candida which can invade the mouth, the digestive tract and other areas of your body. In stubborn cases, many women report that yeast candida can last for several years. It really depends on the person and the severity of the problem.

Of course, and there's no reason not to treat it. There are even over the counter remedies available. Yeast infections can lead to much more serious conditions. Your body would deal with it eventually unless your immune system is suppressed as it would deal with any infection.

Un treated yeast infection?

There are many dangers associated with untreated yeast infections. Some women will get an infection monthly during a specific time of their cycle. These infections are usually mild and will go away on their own. For women who are not familiar with the symptoms associated with vaginal infections it is important to see a gynecologist to verify that your symptoms are a yeast infection and not the first signs of something more serious. Untreated yeast infections that do not go away on their own can cause severe illness.
