According to the official rulebook: “A player landing on this place does not receive any money, property or reward of any kind. This is just a ‘free’ resting place.”
Many people who play choose to invoke a house rule that allows anyone who lands on Free Parking gets to collect the pot of money that has accumulated from all fines, taxes, etc., up to that point. However, the rulebook states that all of that money is supposed to go directly back to the bank.

One of the informal rules often used is that all fines and payments to the bank go in the middle of the board. Anyone that lands on Free Parking gets all the money in the middle.

Free Parking is a corner square on the board diagonally opposite to Go. When a player lands here nothing happens and they move off the space on their next turn. The only exception is in the Monopoly City version, where landing on the space grants the player the 'Rent Dodge' card, regardless of if another player has it or not.

We always put any tax money or any other money used to but: houses, properties or any fees right in the middle. So essentually whoever lands on free parking wins the lottery or jackpot prize. In all games that i have ever played this has been very rare however i think that this makes the game 10x more exciting. Without this option it would be a standerd game however with it theres excitment and something to look forward to in the game.

When you land on free parking you give 100 to the bank and you can go anywhere on the board and you can buy a propety or take a mystery card.

If there is any money that has been taken by income tax or super tax, the person that lands on free parking will get all that money.

You take all the money from the middle of the board and than the banker has to put another 500 in the middle of the board.

Everything, at least when I play, is u to the players. The heck with the rules, we place the "Do not pass Go, Do not gollect $200.00" under "Free Parking, and who ever lands there first gets it.
