Anti-freeze.
Anti freeze
THERE IS A PLASTIC COOLANT TANK UNDER THE HOOD THAT EITHER HAS A PICTURE OR SYAYES ENG COOLANT DO NOT CONFUSE WITH THE WIDOW WASHER TANK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND CAN BE A MESS IF YOU PUT ANTI FREEZE IN THE WASHER TANK NOT A BIG DEAL JUST BE MINDFUL
Liquid anti freeze is used in windshield wiper fluid, in coolant for engines, HVAC chillers and solar water heaters. Anti freeze is also used in a component that defrosts airline wings.
You do not want your windshield washer fluid to become solid in temperatures below freezing, because this could damage your washers and prevent them from working. You should not, however, use engine coolant/antifreeze in your washer fluid, because it is toxic and can damage your paint. Commercial washer fluids contain a weaker antifreeze that is much less toxic and unlikely to damage your paint.
There is no problem it is when you put anti-freeze in the washer bottle that you have a problem.
YES! DON'T DO IT. Use the correct anti freeze for your car. foreign and US cars use different types of coolant. Use anti freeze that says it's a 50/50 mix of water and anti freeze, or buy 100% anti freeze and mix it with 50% distilled water.
You mix it with water.
Antifreeze (also called ethylene glycol) is used in radiators (not windshield washer fluid) because it raises the boiling point and lowers the freezing point of water.
Anti freeze. You need to get that fixed. and fast. Check your coolant fluid levels.
