It is not a good idea to put any make of china or pottery or porcelain items in a dishwasher if they have any gold decoration on them ---- the gold is very soft and quite thin so it can be worn away quite quickly. If it is not marked 'Dishwasher Safe' then do not chance it!
Most travel mugs aren't as they have lead and special metal, that will become contaminated and making the cup unusable if put in the dishwasher. However, you can always check with your maufactuer.
