Hi, I did this at weekend. Checked with my mechanic. I had put in about a quarter pint. He said this was ok. If you put in a lot more then you should check with another.
It will not hurt anything, There's more water and antifreeze then there is wiper fluid and it will mix right up with everything, Don't worry
The tank that supplies fluid for the windshield also supplies fluid for the rear wiper. It is located in the engine compartment.
The rear window wiper fluid comes from the windshield wiper fluid tank in the engine compartment on a 2001 Ford Escape
This light indicates that the car is low on wiper fluid. To refill the wiper fluid resovuoir pop the hood and pour washer fluid in the clear tank. Note: not all cars have a wiper fluid warning light since not having any wiper fluid isn't a big deal.
The back wiper fluid is supplied by the windshield washer fluid tank in your engine compartment on the 2003 Ford Explorer ( 4 door )
On a LX it is located right on the washer fluid tank at the bottom. You will need to pull out the coolant overflow tank. The coolant tank and the washer fluid tank are one unit. it is a piece of cake.
THe fluid will need flushed and changed.
The fill tank for the rear wiper fluid on a 2005 Z71 is actually the same tank as for the front windshield. If the rear washer is not working and the tank for the front is full, then there might be a problem with a fuse or a hole in the line.
It is one of two things: Level of coolant in radiator/overflow or the level of windshield wiper fluid. ---------- Low coolant. Check your coolant level as soon as possible. ~Pengauin
Coolant is fluid that flows through a device in a vehicle to prevent overheating, The coolant level sensor is located on the bottom side of the coolant recovery tank.
thermostat or blown head gasket....
the washer fluid tank is under the hood... usually by itself and has blue liquid in it. It may also have an image diagram of a wiper and spray on the cap
