It depends on how low your fuel level dropped. You may need to re-prime the fuel pump/pipes. Also, there is the chance that due to condensation in the fuel tank (which can be a particular problem with diesel) water may have been drawn into the fuel system, this would need to be drained off (particularly at the fuel filter).
The engine won't run well and - depending on how much wrong fuel you put in - the diesel engine could end-up badly damaged if try to run it more than a few seconds.Unleaded gas is simply not suitable to run a diesel engine. Engines which run on unleaded use a much lower compression ratio than diesel engines. You need to drain the tank and the whole fuel delivery system and then refill the tank with diesel. For more information please see the answer to the Related Question shown below.

Don't run the engine any more. contact the dealership as you may need to clean out the fuel filter, carb and drain the tank BUT not as bad as doing it the other way around. Diesel into a petrol car definitely means cleaning tank, filters, carb and engine. If it is only a small amount you may be able to top up with diesel and run mixture through but filter may still be damaged. Get quotes for work though as you can drain some petrol tanks and then refill with diesel and afterwards change the fuel filter if damaged. Consider also any warranty you may have that could be invalid if not done by main dealer. Good luck.

If you drove a diesel for 1,000 miles with gasoline in the tank, then, depending on the amount of diesel you put in the tank, you may have done some serious damage to the injector pump. Drain the tank of all fuel and the fill it up with diesel. You will know very soon if damage was done.
yes it can, mixed with petrol. 5litres diesel to .5l of petrol. mixed it up and ur good to go.
Burn up the injection pump if too much was added. Itll stumble a little at low rpms. Add a tiny bit of regular motoroil in fuel tank to lubricate injection pump and run a lot of diesel through it.
The 2006 Ford F2 50 diesel engine might have a bad fuel injector. The injector can cause the engine to not run properly, until the engine warms up.
when days supply is used up You can usually get a refill a day or two before you run out, unless it is a narcotic drug. Sometimes if you are going on vacation, you can get as early as a week in advance, it just depends on what the drug is.
