A lot of bad things... Depends on how bad it overheated. If it didn't overheat for too long it should be fine, the knock sensor may have cracked though. If you drove it while overheating you could have burnt valves and a warped head. Google "burp 240sx" and follow those directions for removing the air from the cooling system, the 240 has a very good cooling system and should not overheat.
Yes. The ka24de motor is used from 95 through 98.not just used from 95 to 98 because i have a 1990 240sx with a ka24de in it
yes it will with the correct engine mounts, cross member and loom
It makes the motor run insufficiently.
Yes, some '92 240sx' came with the ka24de motor.
no
it has a ka24 2.4l dual over head cam
take out the halfshafts pull the motor and unbolt the tranny
On 1989-1994 240SX, Top speed only goes to 115mph due to VSS. 240SX is not exactly known for topspeed but stability, and for the motor Torque since it was actually used for Nissan Trucks. 1997 Nissan Hardtop for ex.
you can get it from a junkyard for like 5 bucks, any 240sx window motor will work. dont go to a dealer because I went and they tried to charge $100.
>>"What type of valves does a 1989 Nissan 240SX have?" what exactly are you asking? the factory motor for the 240sx's, years '89-'90, is the KA24E, single cam, 2.4 liters, 12 valve. It has two intake valves, and one output valve.
NO, to pass smog test, it all needs to be original
Sure it will, they are the same motor.
