Umbilical vein is full on digested food material, like amino acids, glucose, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Umbilical arteries has got waste products of metabolism and lost much of the food material to the fetus. The blood pressure is umbilical vein is very low. The blood pressure in the umbilical arteries is high.
