Down sydrome because of nondisjunction in the chromosomes
In a trisomy syndrome, an extra chromosome is present so that the individual has three of a particular chromosome instead of the normal pair.
If someone has an extra chromosome it means there was a genetic mutation that is abnormal in human development. It may result in problems with the person affecting them on a basic level, or may go fully unnoticed. A common disorder that can be caused by having an extra chromosome is Down's Syndrome.
in Patau there is an extra chromosome in chromosome 13, in Edwars it the extra chromosome is in chromosome 18
Aneuploid - the individual has an extra copy of one chromosome or is missing a chromosome.
The extra chromosome 13 causes numerous physical and mental abnormalities, especially heart defects.
A diploid cell with an extra chromosome. Basically a diploid with an extra chromosome of one type, producing a chromosome number of the form 2n + l.
Down syndrome occurs because of the extra chromosome on chromosome 21. If you go onto google images and type in karyotype of Down syndrome, you will find a picture of the extra chromosome. Instead of having two chromosomes on chromosome 21, there is an extra. Type your answer here...

Barr bodies are inactivated X chromosomes found in females, and males typically do not have Barr bodies since they have one X and one Y chromosome. In the case of an individual with an extra Y chromosome (for example, XYY syndrome), there are no Barr bodies present, as Barr bodies are formed from X chromosomes only. Therefore, the presence of an extra Y chromosome does not contribute to Barr body formation.
An extra copy of Chromosome 18
In females, the extra X chromosome becomes inactive and becomes the Barr body.
