2 wires to the "R" and "W" terminals on the furnace. Usually the thermostat has similar terminals. If you have air conditioning, then there are 5 terminals to contend with. Look for a wiring diagram on the internet.
Easy as one,two and three. There are four primary wires coming from you service panel.(provided you have three phase service) you can check by looking at the weather head on the roof. if it has three wires you have single phase but if it has four then you have three phase. the hot wires will be black, red and brown. the neutral will be white or green. the welder should have a manual that will give you the lead phase wire(most likely black to black) the other two hot wires can hook to any other hot wire. The neutral goes to the white or green and posts to the panel. If the welder has a switching power supply then you must have a three phase converter.
the thermostat will have two wire tails or connection points that are marked either "L1"and "L2" or "Line" ,the black and white wires from the breaker box or fuse panel hook to them. the other connections marked "T1" and "T2" or "Load" hook to the wall heater. don't forget the bare wire (the ground) in case the heater develops a short, it goes from the power source ,through the thermostat box, to the green screw on the heating fixture.
The AC condensing unit needs two 24 volt low voltage control wires, the high voltage will be 220 - 230 volts and requires 3 wires , 2 hot legs and a ground. You can buy pre made whips as they are called cheaper than making one.
No.
Thermostat wiring can be hooked up by following the colors of the wires. Each thermostat comes with color coded wires that are the same colors as the thermostat already in place in the home. Hook each wire to its colored wire.

Black wire to gold screw, white wire to silver screw, ground to green screw. If you are using a GFIC outlet then the hot wires coming in hook to the Line side of the GFIC receptacle and the wires going out to other receptacles hook to the load side.
if you have a 90% furnace you would hook up red to r and white to w1 and green to g and blue to common or c on your circuit board.
