When you delete files from a removable media the data itself isn't deleted, just the file system pointers that says where the data for those files is located. The area where the deleted file data was stored is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

∙ 14y agoNothing is ever really gone from your computer,there are still traces of it.Weather it be a picture,or a music file.Or say:AOL*there were tons of traces from it even after deletion* If you want to get a certain picture back there is freeware you can use to get it like:Pareto.Although I never did get my activation code.
