If you're in the US... A child saying he is emancipated means nothing (I can say I'm God, but that doesn't mean I am :). If the child actually is legally emancipated, then child support ceases.
You still have to support her until she is emancipated or the law or child support agreement says stop.
Child support is paid as long as the child is a minor, get emancipated or when the child support agreement says so.
My order says it stops at 18, Hig School graduation, or 21. So I would think so.
What do you think it is for, just what is says, CHILD SUPPORT
nothing. there is no law that says you have to let him see the child, unless he has partial custody.
It depends on when your child support was supposed to end. If it has ended then it cannot be modified retroactively. If you are still paying support, some states go to 21, then you can file a motion to modify your child support.
The only depends on specific state laws or original child support order. see link
Yes, he does. He is still a father, he has a child, and that child needs support.
If your boyfriend says that he wants to have a child but not with you, that just means that he's not ready for that type of a commintment, and if he says that if it happens then it happens that just means that he will be there for you. He will help you through it.
My daughter turns 18 this month. I do not owe back pay or arrears. I have fulfilled my court orders for child support and full medical coverage. I do not have a relationship, just this year she contacted me as a senior. I'm a simple person married with my wife and daughter. I recently received a letter to appear in court to review orders. Mother is out to get more money. Can I terminate parental rights after once she turns 18?Giving up your parental rights does not mean you can stop paying child support. You still have to support your child until she is emancipated and in most places she is at 18. So now it depends on what the law says where you live and what your child support agreement says. In some states you have to pay until the child is out of school. If you want child support to end you have to turn to the court.
"arrearage" ... "decree" - no
You pay child support until the judge says you do not have to pay.
