It might have a severe, heavy impact. even animal Cartoons these days are saturated in violent content. the elastic violence of Road Runner would be deadly in real life, consequences never occur in such toons. Often violence is used as a comedy device- like the drumming sequences in The Three Stooges. It is no laughing matter when kids try this in reality. Dr. Spock was quite shocked when a harmless little girl confessed to him she was drumming on fellow classmates with drumsticks- because- (That"s what the Three Stooges do!) and went on to imitate the music. Listen, If I had a kid- I don"t I would not let them watch TV, period. Radio is better for conscious thought and imagination development, which TV free-wheelingly shorts out.
