There are'nt specific hormones that cause hair loss. I myself am 15 years old and have been losing my hair for 2 or 3 years. If you think your hormones are preventing hair growth (for women) , go to the doctors and get a test done for "PCOS". Its when small cysists are around your ovaries. I havent gotten alot of information on this syndrom but they told me I had this and put me on "the pill" Other symptoms for this syndrom are off monthly cycles, hair loss, weak bones and being slightly overweight. TO help with hair growth and getting your hair back, also to make it look thicker, take your dialy multi-vitamin, a calcium pill and a "biotin". Omega 3-6-9 can help as well. My hairs been feeling thicker and i havent been taking the pill for even a month. Ask your doctor to go any and every hormone check. Im not sure the name of the test I went through for them to find my syndrom, but if nothing comes up dont get discouraged. If its IS "PCOS" it doesnt always show up in blood work. Birth Control helps alot. Its not JUST "birth control" as people like us to think. Its just extra hormones as well that our body might be lacking. There are also different kinds of birth control so if your going on it just for hormones, start with nothing higher then 25mg. Im hoping this helps. =)
