So the knife itself does not commit the crime-- violent people do.
Therefore, the only way to stop crimes by knives, guns, rocks, bombs, etc. is to raise children to have strong moral values, to live peacefully, to teach children non-violent ways to resolve conflict, etc. With strong moral and ethical character and compassion toward others, children become adults who seek to respect each other rather than to use violence.
