From experience i would have to say yes, but you can hardly tell the difference, both game systems are really great so buy which ever one you want.
In terms of graphical processing power, the Xbox 360 beats out the PS3 (specs can be found in the related link, but the actual quality of the graphics depends on a number of other factors: the quality of the software engine being utilized, the efficacy of the programmers and the hardware you are playing on (standard TV or High Def, are you using RCA/component, composite or HDMI cables, etc).
