There are two, and they both cover most denominations and churches and their leaders. First, many teach that seeing we are saved by Grace since the Law has been done away with, so it is no longer necessary to know anything about the Old Testament. The second heresy is that of "replacement theology" which teaches that all the promises made God made to Israel have now been transferred to the church instead, that the curses upon Israel for disobedience apply literally whereas the blessings upon Israel for obedience are spiritual, and that there is no future for Israel.
The law
Yes there is a relationship between the old testament and the law , as the book of Moses Leviticus is full of laws the Jews had to follow.
According to the old testament following the law of God is what makes a man happy.
It is the Torah (the Five Books of Moses).
The Book(s) PLURAL of the Law are The books written by Moses (Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy) and they are part of the Old Testament not the New Testament. The book of Romans and Hebrews does mention the law allot though in explanation to Christians of how Christ fulfilled the law and was higher and better than the law and these books are part of the New Testament.
Yes
The New Testament can be described as The New Law as The Old Testament is to The Old Law. Christ brought a new law with Him which was to replace the old law as taught in the Old Testament. He taught that He was the Christ, the son on a living God. He also gave new commandments which the people were to live by doing away with the old, such as An eye for an eye. He taught that we were to love those who did harm to us and to love our neighbour as ourselves. He gave us the ten commandments and taught us how to pray. To go the extra mile when the need arose. He taught that everyone would be resurrected.
The Old Testament is centered around the Law and is full of promises. The New Testament, with the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus, is the fulfillment of those promises.

No, the Law had not yet been given. Abraham lived by faith and obeyed God.
