2.0l 4g63 head will fit on a 2.4l 4g64 block. there are a couple holes that will have to be plugged for oil on the block but other then that you should be good. and there is no need to swap tranny unless you want a better one.
it depends on your engine: 1) 4G64/G (galant?) 3-7 before tdc 2) 4G64/L (lancer?) 2-8 before tdc
The 2 door does. Not the 4 door.
Wrong, The head will too fit all 4g63 and 4g64 share the same manifold flange, unless you have the 4g69 or 4g94 which came in the lancer oz es or ralliart.
where are the fuel injectors located on a 4g64 engine
MOST ARE NOT-however not all, you need to know exactly which engine version you have. There are about 7 possible engines that year-here are most common/likely. 4G64 is an interference motorlike the 4G63,and 4G69 however, the early 8-valve 4G64 is a non interference engine.
no the headers wont fit because the on the 2.0 motor, or the 420a5, the two center bolt holes on the top of the header are about an inch closer together than the 2.4, or the 4g64. the down pipe on the 2.0 also only has two bolts, where the 2.4 has three.
the non turbo 420a makes 140hp and the 4g64 spyder engine makes 141.
6-bolt 4g63 engine (1st gen dsm motor) 2nd gen can be adapted to fit (7 bolt 4g64)
The good old 4G63, or like me a 4g64/w 4g63 head. higher stroke 100mm vs. 88mm i believe.
fter alot of fabrication yes it will but it wouldn't make any sense itd be cheaper to get an eclipse or a talon or a Mitsubishi l200 truck
There is no valve adjustment on the 2.4 litre 4G64 engine as it has hydraulic lifters fitted, if they are noisy then there are oil additives to clean them or they may need replacing.
