In conventional design water pumps two main houses will be attached to the water pump. A large lower hose will run to the radiator. A smaller heater hose running towards the firewall will connect with the heater core.
The water pump on a 2002 Hyundai Accent is replaced by removing the engine accessories, disconnecting the radiator hoses, and unbolting the pump. A new gasket and pump can then be attached.
Remove the serpentine belt then remove the water pump bolts and any attached hoses. It would help to know what year, model, or engine size.
A deep well water pump is installed by mounting it in a weather resistant housing next to the well and running power to it. The hoses can then attached to either side of the pump and the pump tested for efficiency.
The radiator should first be drained, then the hoses attached to the pump removed. All belts and pulleys in front of the pump must be removed. The pump is then unbolted from the engine block.
It is my guess that it is the water pump. There are no hoses connected to the water pump, so check the two rad hoses and if they are dry, it is likely the water pump. It could also be the head gasket or (unlikley) even the head)
The water pump on the 2004 Ford Taurus will be replaced by removing the right front wheel to reach the water pump. You will disconnect all hoses to the water pump and replace the pump and put the hoses back on the new pump.
It is on the drivers side of the engine- there are 3 fuel hoses attached. It is a manual pump.
If it is water cooled (has a radiator) it has a water pump in the bottom end just follow the hoses to it.
They didn't have hoses. The technology to make the hoses and pump water through them hadn't been invented.
There aren't really any "hoses" connected to the water pump, but a return coolant line that runs underneath the header connects to it. It should connect just underneath the first runner towards the front of the car. Otherwise, it is inside the engine and pumps coolant through the engne and out to through the thermostat to the top radiator hose.
