I have one myself. Mine is a harmless, soft, fatty tumor called a lipoma. If your lump is hard and/or painful see a doctor.
yes you should be concerned wth just a lump above your belly button. so go to the doctor and get it looked at.

The best way to get medical advise is to see a doctor. There is no way to tell what a soft, painful lump on the heel of your foot without an examination.

Almost the exact thing happened to my mother, except her lump was closer to her ear. If the lump is soft, there is a great chance it's just a fluid filled cyst. That's what moms turned out to be.
