battery and or alternator are shot, check alternator by starting the car, and removing either the positive or negative battery cable,,, if the vehicle continues to run the alternator is good.
Terminals or the battery it self are not securely fastened in the vehicle.
Check battery terminals for corrosion. If so, clean them.
easy...all you have to do is to remove either one of the battery terminals, while the car is idling...if it dies, then it is not charging
Did you notice the lights dimming and loss of power before it died?, if you did, it might be an alternator problem, or a loose or corroded battery terminal, or the battery itself., Check the voltage on the dash board, with the the key on, if its under 12v, the battery charge is low, remove and clean the battery terminals, give it a boost, if it starts and dies as soon as you remove the jumper cable, it´s definitely the alternator.
check the wire connection going into the air filter box. a disconnected air flow sensor will do that exact thing, next is fuel filter. battery cleaning may be only coincidence
The alternator is not working properly. Your car will still run off the battery for a little while then when the battery dies the car dies. Check the alternator or take it to autozone and they will check it for you.
It is best to replace both at the same time if you have had them for more than 3 years. If for some reason 1 dies before 3 years, it is ok to replace 1 just make sure it was a defective battery, and not a system problem. Be sure to clean the battery terminals and coat with anti corrosion before installing new batteries.
Seems like the battery is not makeing a solid connection. Clean the battery connections with a pencil eraser.
If the lights are going off and the car dies at the same time it sounds like a bad ground. Check your battery post terminals. Make sure they are tight. Also check where the ground wire from the battery mounts to the engine. Check the positive cable at the starter. Make sure it's tight.
Check Battery Terminals For Corrossion Or If They Are Loss
i think it might... if it dies it wouldn't matter you could still save but im not sure if it will save without a battery in the game...
apparently you have a draw or a short when the vehicle is shut off, disconnect the battery when not in use and see if the battery stays charged.
