you can press the pressure release valve until you have evacuated the refrigerant sufficient enough so that it won't be overcharged.
Yes. An ac system will not work properly if over charged.Yes. An ac system will not work properly if over charged.
system may need to be evacuated prior to charging
No, auto batteries are DC not AC.
A machine that reclaims Freon is needed to remove the old Freon. The system will then need to have a vacuum pulled, and then the new Freon can be added.
The system will produce excessively high pressure which could damage fittings and components, and you'll get insufficient cooling from the AC system.
You can buy a charge kit from your local auto parts store and follow directions but if it needs a charge it must have a leak. Have the leak repaired first. This is best done by a garage that does AC work.
Buiy a kit at Wal-Mart or auto parts, comes with instructions
By buying an AC charge hose and a can or 2 of R134a freon (depending on how much your car needs) Attach hose to the low pressure side & charge system. Do not overcharge, or you may destroy the AC system.

No it's unrelated to ac system. You should check your charge (freon) & if OK, ensure compressor is coming on. it spins all the time, but a clutch turns on & off. There is a high & low port to charge on lines. if you buy a can from auto parts store it will have a guage to check pressure & instructions-good luck.
Because it probably has a leak if you have just fixed a leak then you need to put a vacuum on your AC system before you can charge it.
You will not be able to charge the system correctly plus you will have moisture stuck in the system.....
