That depends on 'how much' you overfilled it. It is better to have a little more, than a little less - but by the same token too much is not a good thing.
If you are way overfull; You can check to see if that one has a factory, or aftermarket drain plug installed OR pull a line loose and gravity drain (force drain by turning the car over but NOT starting it) until you are back within acceptable levels.
