Ford Dealers carry the Orange colored Antifreeze for Jags
According to the 2003 Ford Taurus Owner Guide : It either came with GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ) or YELLOW ( Ford specification WSS-M97B51-A1 ) * the manual states to use the type your car was originally equipped with * I ASSUME that would be GREEN for the " Vulcan " V6 engine because that has cast iron block and heads , and YELLOW for the " Duratec " which has aluminum block and heads So , the answer is ( NO )
If you have coolant coming out of the exhaust. You have either a blown head gasket, a cracked head, or a cracked block. This can totally ruin your motor.
On a 1996 Ford Ranger : It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A )
The Owner Guide shows Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ( that would be the green color universal antifreeze )
