Your not suppose to mix them or they will fight and one will end up killing the other unless its time for them to mate. You can also get a divider to put in between the fish so they can do no harm
a sword and a shield ?
First you clean the bowl and make sure there is not dust or residue on it then, you fill it up ith warmish water and put betta water cleaner in it :)
Angelfish will likely pick and nip at fighting fish if put in the same aquarium.
Not every fish is okay, maybe check with a fish expert at a local pet store and see. But, whatever you do, don't put two Siamese Fighting Fish together. They WILL fight!
None, they are dominant creatures you can rarely put them in a tank with another fish. Not sure about a female one with a male but still not best to be tried with. ;)
Females will get along with each other. Don't put males together or they'll fight to the death.
Nothing happens when you separate them. Nothing in particular anyway.
Bettas, Siamese Fighting Fish. I may have missed some, but if your talking about small fish, I hve most of them. P.S. NEVER and i repeat NEVER put two male Betta together!!!!!
Swordfish often fight each other for the right to mate with females or for territory. These fish are very large and very territorial and will often even fight with humans who enter their area.
maybe you can put a non-aggressive fish that if physically provoked by the fighting fish it can defend itself. or fast moving fish like goldfish so it can outrun the fighting fish. when feeding your fishes they usually move quick, putting their mouths above water. however, the betta doesn't. and they can get easily annoyed when other fish bump them. so,I recommend the angelfish.
Answer (Improved!!!)betas fight, male and female alike. keep them separated or 1 or both will die. reason they are called Siamese Fighting Fish.
The male will only put up with a female while he is courting and breeding with her. Once the spawning process is over he will kill her if she is not removed from the tank.
