Classic Strep throat infection demonstates with rapid onset high fever and severe inflamed and sore throat. If you tested positive for strep without these symptoms, you MAY be a carrier. A small percentage of the population will test positive, when they don't actually have an active infection to treat. They will often have "recurring" strep throat "infections" that are unresponsive to antibiotics. Consider asking your doctor if you could be a carrier.

Yes. I have had strep throat before and the doctor found it on a routine check-up. I think I had a low grade temp of 99 but no sore throat.
