What if your Chevy cobalt battery is dead and stuck in the garage. The key is also stuck in the ignition. How come it won't let you put it in neutral to roll it out of the garage to jump it?

You car battery operate many items in your car. The neutral safety switch locks the trans in Park until the key is turned and the brake is pressed. The Cobalt has a battery in the trunk so open the trunk and lift up the cover and jump the car.
