That will have nothing to do with the vacuum. It either has a brake fluid leak / CHECK brake lines for leaks.
It is very common for the brake line that runs between the fuel tank and frame going to the rear wheel cylinders to rust in half or have a hole rusted in it. If it is leaking then you will have brake fluid leaking under the truck towards the back / Behind the cab.
If lines are okay, then check rear wheel cylinders for leaks.
If you have no leaks then the mastercylinder may be by-passing fluid inside of it.
These things are the only reason for your problem. Hope I've helped.
Vacuum booster is working--When vehicle off there is no vacuum assist (for power brakes) When vehicle is on vacuum is present Brake pedal going to floor is another problem--no fluid in master cylinder? Leak in system? Brakes not adjusted properly?
House cleaners use vacuums for cleaning the carpet and floor.
try pumping up the brakes and see if that will give you a harder or higher pedal. sounds to me like you need to have the brakes bled properly to remove air from the system
They wouldn't. You have a problem, and it's hazardous to your health.
Check master cylinder for fluid level Check around all wheels for a fluid leak or bad wheel cylinder The reason you can pump brake up without engine running is that you are emptying the vacuum reservoir and no longer have power (vacuum) assist
It could be a few things ...i would check the brake booster.. If it is bad it will make your pedal go all the way to the floor before it will have any brake pedal at all..also i would check your vacuum for the booster for your brakes to work you have to have vacuum on it for it to work !hope this helps, and as allways if you are not sure get a second opinion !
If this problem occurs, then it means that there is a problem with your car. You can get the brake line fixed by visiting a technician.
Depends on if all four brakes were bled, if they were look at vacuum leaks or a faulty master cylinder as the culprit
This one is easy. Brake booster diaphragm is ruptured, causing a massive vacuum leak, which will cause the engine to run poorly when the brakes are applied. A loss vacuum assist will make it difficult to stop the vehicle.
A vacuum leak in the vacuum assist for the brakes. It is the big round thing that is behind the brake mastercylinder. Check the vacuum connections to this.
This is a very common problem and you need to check for a vacuum leak, broken vacuum line or a loose vacuum line......
VACUUM LINESI have the same problem with my Trailblazer. I keep reading that is could be the Vacuum lines, or some card that is on the back of the controls.... GOOD LUCK LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS>>>> I have an 03 3500 dually and had a similar problem. The vacuum line was disconnected. The vacuum pump is usually on the right side up near the fire wall close to where the a/c ties in.
