More than likely the solenoid on the transfer case is bad.
All 4x4's Ford Expeditions are not AWD... I have a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT and it has (2H/AWD/4L/4H). But, my brother has a 2000 Ford Expediton EB (AWD/4L/4H).
It giving you some kind of code. Have your codes read.
There should be a dial next to the temperature controls that say... 2wd/awd/4l/4h
In a 2001 Ford Expedition : ( both rear wheel drive and 4x4 versions were available ) * if it has the 4x4 Control Trac system the rotary selector dial is to the left and below the radio . It has A4WD , 4H , and 4L positions
A 1997 Ford Expedition is either rear wheel drive or it has the Control Trac 4x4 system ( the rotary selector dial is located to the left and below the radio, it has 4 positions , 2H / A4WD / 4H / 4L )
There should be a dial next to the temperature controls that say... 2wd/awd/4l/4h
Start rolling and reach over to the dash switch and flip it to 4h.
IF the system is working correctly, just put the gearshift in Neutral. Press hard on the brake, and turn the switch to 4H or 2WD. The Ranger and most other 4WD's will shift on the fly (in Drive) to 4H (4-wheel High), but require the gearshift to be in Neutral in order to shift out of 4L (4-wheel Low).
4h-40 = -36
4H is a youth group and they do have a pony club. You can find out more about them on 4H site.
4h + 6 = 22 So 4h = 16 and then h = 4
t handle shifter has a pattern of 2H, 4H, N, 4L
