In most cases, it's nothing to worry about. Very few young women (and almost no teenagers) have a totally regular cycle of 28 days. Sometimes, your period will be early, sometimes it will be late. But as long as it gets there eventually, your body is functioning normally. Some women find their menstrual cycle becomes more regular as they get older. Of course, if you are in pain, if your period does not arrive at all, or if your menstrual cycle is heavier than normal, you may want to talk with your doctor about it.
