I think so... My friend and I were talking about this today and we realized that sometimes deoderant makes us sweat more than if we don't wear it. I think it's like skin care products; if you buy a good one it works, and if you buy a bad one it makes your skin worse than before. So I guess it's just a matter of finding one that works for you. I'm not an expert by any means, but I guess it's nice to know that other people have the same issues as you. :-P

I personally like Dove. Have always used it because my derm recommended it. I think it takes good care of my skin and stops my sweating. I tried Nivea but it didn't really stop my sweating.

If you mean, "How do I ask for a deodorant in a shop?" Well if you go to a supermarket or an large store you usually just pick up the items that you want and then take them to a checkout, so there is no need to ask anyone. In a smaller shop it might be advisable to ask for a deodorant by brand name, such as Lynx, Sure, Life Guard etc.
