The American Import Agents Association members only sell North American vehicles in their original left hand drive state, as built by the original Manufacturer, and which have earned their technical approval for use on UK roads as left hand vehicles in the Standard SVA test. For consumer protection and safety reasons, the American Import Agents Association members do not offer or condone any right hand drive conversions, unless the converted vehicle has passed the Enhanced SVA Test, the legally required standard for all right hand drive imports that do not have European Type Approval.

The aim of our service is to work as your agent and arrange the vehicle of your choice to be imported in an inexpensive and straightforward way. Detailed below is a full list of our services.

1) Having agreed a detailed brief, we will either locate a suitable vehicle from stock or will place a factory order to your precise specifications. This involves considerable contact with different dealerships, not only to source the vehicle with the correct specifications, but also to ensure that it is within the agreed budget.

2) Once your vehicle is ready to ship, we then organise the most efficient trucking and shipping arrangements to transport the vehicle from the dealership to the final destination. We use only the leading firms and have negotiated very competitive freight and marine and insurance rates. For vehicles delivered to the UK, we arrange Customs Clearance and organise collection of your vehicle from the Port and delivery to our showroom.

3) As the UK's main experts on compliance with the new Single Vehicle Approval Regulations for new North American vehicles, we are experts on all the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standards and how these relate to the European Type Approval Standards. We prepare and present your vehicle for the SVA test, and have a 100% success rate in gaining the relevant approvals by the UK Government.

4) Once we have generated the Ministers Approval Certificate for your vehicle, we are able to allocate a registration number for your vehicle as we are approved by the Driver Vehicle Licensing Authority to allocate registration numbers in advance. We then send all the necessary documentation to the local Vehicle Registration Office to have your new car registered. We also offer the additional dealer services as follows:-
